Great quality typical of Barker Ellis high end products with stamped Barker Ellis on the bottom. This coaster has rope like patterned edge and the base is made from mahogany wood with a central plated disc. The base has felt, perfect for caring for your coffee table or dining table.
Dimensions: 145mm (Outer Diameter), 110mm (Inner Diameter to fit most wine/champagne bottles), 40mm (H)
- Origins: Founded as a family business, the firm was listed as Barker Brothers by 1871 and incorporated as Barker Brothers Silversmiths Ltd in 1907.
- Ellis Merger: In the 1960s, the firm merged with Ellis & Co to form the Barker Ellis Silver Co Ltd.
- Authenticity & Marks: True vintage pieces are identifiable by the "Barker Bros" or "Barker Ellis" maker's marks, and starting in 1912, the company heavily utilized a registered candelabra trademark.
