Antique Large Victorian Copper Kettle
This Antique Large Victorian Copper KettleVictorian became widespread in the mid to late 1800's as tea became affordable for the working classes. Hand-crafted by skilled coppersmiths, they feature hand-cut metal, hand-forged rivets, and brass or wrought-iron handles. Antique versions were traditionally lined with tin to prevent copper toxicity.
This Antique Large Victorian Copper Kettle is in great condition for its age. There are no cracks or holes, some little dents typical for its age. Lid comes with acorn detail, copper handle and base is flat.
Kettles from the early and mid-Victorian era (1830s-1880s) often feature hand-cut metal with less uniform, hand-beaten shaping.
This kettle would be perfect on a Western movie set or as a decorative item in your home or even used to store kitchen utensils. Could also be used as an outdoor decoration item which will change the patina over time.
Copper these days are much sought after.
