Crown Lynn, a cornerstone of New Zealand’s ceramic heritage, operated from 1854 to 1989. Known for blending functionality with artistry, the company became the largest pottery manufacturer in the Southern Hemisphere by the 1960s. 

The 1930s–1950s were pivotal decades that solidified Crown Lynn’s reputation for combining functionality with artistry. The company's adaptability during these years laid the foundation for its later successes and enduring place in New Zealand’s cultural heritage.

During the post-war years, Crown Lynn embraced a wide variety of designs, collaborating with talented artists and designers.
