About Clarice Cliff
One of the UK's most prolific and important ceramicists, Clarice Cliff (1899–1972) is best known for her innovative, colour-rich designs during the Art Deco era. Her "Bizarre" range, introduced in 1927, is particularly notable for its bold geometric patterns and vivid colours, which were hand-painted onto various pottery forms.
Clarice Cliff's Bizarre pottery is highly sought after by collectors worldwide. The value of these pieces varies based on factors such as rarity, condition, and specific patterns. For instance, a Clarice Cliff 'Bizarre' vase from 1930–1936 was auctioned with a height of 22.0 cm.
